The aim of the Computer Science Subproject is to create a curriculum for teaching programming in the programming language Python. The curriculum will be based on the development of learning outcomes according to the Croatian Qualifications Framework.
As assistance in the implementation of the curriculum, the teachers will be offered to participate in:
• 10 webinars that will be conducted January to December 2014
• one two-day workshop in the Metković Gymnasium
“IPAQ Peta Webinars”
The “IPAQ Peta webinars” program is carried out as part of the Computer Science Subproject, and deals with learning how to code using the programming language Python. The program will run January to December 2014 (with a pause in July and August).
10 webinars will cover the following topics:
- Introduction in Python (motivation, installation, and basic commands)
- Branch and repetition
- String, arrays, group, dictionary and files
- Turtle’s graphics
- Object programming
- Red, stack, tree and graph
- Recursions, combinatorial algorithms and cryptography
- Graphical interface design
- Data bases
- Network programming
Participation in the webinars and obtaining certificate of participation
The “IPAQ Peta Webinars” program is included in the plan of Computer Science ŽSV in the City of Zagreb. Participants can obtain a certificate of professional education by applying personally prior to the webinar through the portal www.ettaedu.eu. Basic data (name, e-mail and school) are required when entering the webinar as well as filling out a survey at the end of the webinar. A Certificate of participation can be obtained in “Moje potvrde” after the webinar.
Webinars are held using Microsoft Live Meeting, and in order to participate it is required to open the link to the webinar in Internet Explorer and install the Live Meeting application (only for the first webinar). If you encounter problems with the installation, see the following instructions.
